The Healy Law Firm located in Chicago, IL proudly announces its name change to Healy Scanlon Law Firm. John P. Scanlon has been a partner with The Healy Law Firm for many years. John focuses his practice on representing people injured by defective products and workers injured while at their place of employment.

He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, now the American Association for Justice (ATLA/AAJ). In 2010, John was appointed by The Illinois Supreme Court to serve on its jury instruction committee. John is currently the Secretary of the Illinois Trial Lawyers and is the past chair of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Tort Law Committee and the Products Liability Committee of ITLA.

He has obtained many awards and verdicts on behalf of injured workers, including a record $24,000,000 verdict for a young man who suffered paralysis as a result of a defective motorcycle and a $21,000,000 resolution for a family injured by a defective minivan. He has also successfully pursued appeals in the Illinois Appellate Court.
